"ഞാന്‍ ഒരിക്കലും നിന്നെ മറക്കില്ല."

അത്ര ധൃഷ്ടമായ പ്രതിജ്ഞകള്‍ക്കു

ജീവിതമൊരിക്കലും നമുക്കു മാപ്പു തരില്ല.

അതിനാല്‍, വ്യര്‍ത്ഥവാഗ്ദാനങ്ങള്‍ നാം വേണ്ടെന്നു വയ്ക്കുക.

ഇനിയും ഭാവന ചെയ്യാത്ത വഴികളിലൂടെ 

നിന്റെ മോക്ഷം പടര്‍ന്നുപോകട്ടെ.

നിന്റെ മുഖത്തെ വശ്യത ഇലപ്പച്ചയിലലിയട്ടെ,

കാറ്റില്‍, കരയില്‍, ഋതുക്കളുടെ നര്ത്തനത്തില്‍,

കടലില്‍, ആകാശനീലിമയിലലിയട്ടെ.

ഈ രാത്രിയില്‍, ഈ ഏകാന്തഹൃദയത്തില്‍,

ഈ വാക്കുകളുടെ തിരി മാത്രം ഞാന്‍ 

കെടാതെ കാത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ:

"നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു,

ഒരിക്കല്‍ നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു."
